Sparinvest and Nykredit's position on Russian investments
As early as February, Sparinvest and Nykredit Invest sold off all Russian government bonds, and we are currently set to sell off our very last investment in a Russian company.
Sparinvest and Nykredit are deeply concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We are monitoring the situation closely to ensure that all our investments are in alignment with current Danish foreign policy interests and EU and US sanction lists.
No Russian government bonds in Sparinvest and Nykredit investment funds
Already before the Russian invasion, the situation in Ukraine was critical, and beginning of February, we opted to sell off all Russian government bonds held by Sparinvest and Nykredit Invest.
For some time now, we have also been reluctant to invest in Russian companies.
Nearly all investments in Russian companies sold off
Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we opted to sell off all investments in Russian companies, including state-owned companies on sanction lists as well as all other Russian companies.
At this point, we have sold off all our investments in companies placed under sanctions by the EU and the United States. We are currently set to sell off our very last investment in a Russian company.
What happens next?
Sparinvest and Nykredit are closely following the war in Ukraine, while continually considering measures in support of foreign policy signals coming out of Denmark, the EU and the United States.
We have no impending plans to make new investments in Russian government bonds or companies.
